YouTube has announced a change to its use of AI in response to the impact on staff of the coronavirus

YouTube has announced a change to its use of AI in response to the impact on staff of the coronavirus.


Whereas its algorithms would normally identify unsafe or inappropriate material and forward it to human moderators, it is now placing more responsibility into the virtual hands of AI, to delete content without the normal level of human interaction.

The upshot is that this will be come more and more common over the coming weeks.
